Since the race's inception in 1979, the competition was held every year at Daytona International Speedway, but it moved to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in 2022. It is one of the two non-point races on the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series schedule, and the other is NASCAR All-Star Race.

The Clash NASCAR Cup Series race will be live broadcast on the Fox Sports channel. Fox Sports will broadcast the entire event, such as practice and qualifying. The event practice will start on 4th February on FS1 at 6:00 p.m. ET, whereas qualifying will start in the evening on the FS1 channel at 8:30 p.m. ET
