Since the race's inception in 1979, the competition was held every year at Daytona International Speedway, but it moved to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in 2022 until 2024. It moved again to Bowman Gray Stadium in 2025. At Daytona, the race served as the kick-off event for the Daytona Speedweeks along with the season-opening Lucas Oil 200 of the ARCA Menards series. The Clash NASCAR Cup Series race will be live broadcast on the Fox Sports channel. Fox Sports will broadcast the entire event, such as practice and qualifying. The event practice will start on 2nd February on FS1 at 6:00 p.m. ET, whereas qualifying will start in the evening on the FS1 channel at 8:30 p.m. ET

The Clash event field features 40 competitors; every driver competes for 23 places in Sunday’s main event. There are 36 drivers from 16 different teams who lineup to the race, such as Todd Gilliland, Austin Cindric, and Harrison Burton.
The Busch Light Clash reigning champion Kyle Busch, making the Joe Gibbs Racing driver a two-time champion in 2012.
